"Informed Forum Post: Project Millenium LPD/LPH Acquisition Plans" by Darren

Hi Stephan,

No worries about the late reply. As you can see, I'm far worse when it comes to replying timeously, a habit I'm finding it rather tricky to break free from.

I'm honoured that you have an interest in my writing, and thank you for the compliment. Though I hardly deserve it, since much of my writing is just the summation of information from elsewhere coupled to my own conclusions. I'm in awe of some of the real experts out there. I'm also hugely pleased to hear that you read Commentary, and I promise to try write more regularly over there, especially about the SANDF. In turn, I'm overwhelmed by the service you provide to SA military enthusiasts, providing the only collective news source on the SA Navy outside the SAN's website itself. That goes for Dean's website too.

And if you're interested, I might have some information up at Commentary soon on a NATO fleet of one cruiser, three frigates, a corvette and a fleet support ship due to visit SA somewhere around the end of the month.

Regards,

Darren

Hi Darren,

thanks a lot for the feedback and sorry for the late reply.

Actually I am very interested in all of your very informed articles and opinion pieces, I am more or less regularly watching commentary.co.za, too...

Best regards

Heh, so I see you're a reader of the Key Publishing forums as well. Thanks for putting this up. If you're interested, I'll have a longer post on the LHD program up on Commentary.co.za in a couple days, though it'll mostly follow the same line as that post.

Hi Russel,

unfortunately I have no plan, but I suggest you contact the shipyard that built her: http://www.damen.nl/

Please let me know if you have had any success!

I saw the Sarah Baartman today from the air, really beautiful. Where can I obtain a plan to build a model of her. I build model boats in my spare time.
